Building capacity at every level
The challenge is not simply to put GenAI in people's hands. It is to build the knowledge, judgment, motivation, and environments that let people use it well.
GenAI has no manual. People learn to use it well by trying it on real work, failing, and trying again, and that takes time, a safe place to fail, support, and a community in which becoming capable feels possible. So the approach builds those conditions into the places where people already learn and work.
My approach to developing effective GenAI users

For instructors and managers
They are asked to direct how others use GenAI before they have learned it themselves. So they learn it on a change they already want to make in their own course or team, alongside a peer coach and colleagues. The change itself puts the process of learning at the center of the class or the work. They then use GenAI to help build a culture of growth for their students and employees: the kind of learning environment where effective GenAI users develop.

At scale: a complete system
A coach inside the work learns where each person starts, fits the learning to their beliefs, motivation, and bottlenecks, and grows with them, with peer support built in. Managers and instructors get the same coach, to use GenAI well in their own work and to build a culture where practice is encouraged and failing is safe. Measurement and experimentation are built in, so the system keeps learning what works and feeds it back for continuous improvement.
